These pictures were taken 6 days after she arrived to the U.S.
Savannah-hope is wonderful. She is a hearty eater, a great sleeper and rarely cries. She is full of smiles and laughs from the bottom of her toes. She is reaching new milestones everyday. Savannah-Hope is pure joy. I had the opportunity to spend a few days with her in early May. She came right to me and smothered me in hugs. I tied her on my back every opportunity I could. I hadn't seen her face to face since I left her in Malawi when she was four pounds and her skin was hanging off her body. What a transformation! What a tribute of God's love. She is quite the miracle girl.

Chrissie, THANKS for the wonderful update on little Savannah Hope! She is absolutely beautiful. How awesome that she is celebrating her 1st birthday! You never know had God not put you in that village she could be in heaven with her mommy Chrissie - but then again God always has a purpose and He put you in that village when it was His appointed time! We think in terms of miracles and He sits back and says "I have a plan for your life and know every minute of your life and this was already planned before you ever knew about Malawi, Africa!" Thanks for all you do and have done for Malawi. Just think... little Chrissie Burness from California has done more than wealthy Madonna when it comes to saving a child from starvation and sickness. They are not completing her adoption because of red tape issues even though she has paid in millions to the country. Therefore we know that God is behind the Christians who help Him help his people who can't help theirself.
message continued...I got so excited and filled with joy I hit the wrong button and sent my message. Denise Kennedy
