I just Talked with Thandie and Rodney's wife just had her baby. It was a boy. Also Our precious Ida went to school today so she is feeling much better. Junior has had no more seizures. The lawyer did some paperwork on behalf of Savanna today. Last Sunday at the church at Zomba 30 people were baptized and the Church at Jericho is growing each Sunday. Thandie did not know exactly the numbers at that church. God is sure blessing. We praise Him for all the work and the increase. It was good to talk to Thandie because we like Chrissie are at the mercy of the telephone sometimes it works sometimes not.
I'm assuming that if your house was in danger, you had to evacuate. Did you go to one of the evac centers? We had to evac too; I was voluntary, but my parents and sister were mandatory; but thank God we're all fine. We stayed in one of last hotel rooms in San Diego at a phenominal rate.
Chrissie, I just wanted you to know that I read your blog almost everyday! I go to Bible Way Baptist Church in Milton, Fl. (the Millers' Church). I taught in a Christian School here for 26 yrs. and am now retired. I enjoy so much getting to be a part of the Malawi ministry thru your blog! I have been praying for your city and your state! We , on the Gulf Coast, know what it is like to be hit with a disaster as we were hit hard in 2004 by Hurricane Ivan and then 10 months later by Hurricane Dennis. I especially enjoyed the video clips! Thank again. Lauina Cook
Thanks for stopping by our blog. I'm so glad to have found your blog. It's wonderful to see all the beautiful Malawi faces and read your incredible stories and updates. I'm putting you in my favorites. God bless, Cindy
Chrissie, It's great to see a video. Seeing pictures is one thing, but to hear the voices of children singing is even better. Great blog by the way! ---Karen Ellis---
Missionaries to Malawi Africa through Victory World Outreach. They opened Good Samaritan Children's Home in 2003. It is the permanent home for 97 children.
Thandie and Peace
Thandie is the director of the Good Samaritan Children's Home. Peace is her 7 year old daughter.
In June 2006, I took a life changing missions trip to Malawi, Africa. I was able to return to Malawi for a month in August 2007. My body may be back in San Diego, but I surely left my heart in Malawi. I am counting down the days until the Lord allows me to return.

The Children's Home Choir sounds really good.
