Day 15 in Malawi, August 29th

Day 15 August 29th

Today was a pretty quiet day. I got Peace off to school and then went back to bed. Thandie arrived back at Good Samaritan around noon and then we went to the Gentrys house to make sure it was ready for his arrival tonight. Then we picked up the high school kids. Five of them had touched some kind of a stinging plant and were very itchy. We did some quick grocery shopping and then came back to Good Samartian. The electricity is out so we are sitting in the dark. I wanted to make tacos tonight but we will probably end up eating sandwiches since there is no electricity. I forgot to mention that I ate nsima yesterday for the first time. It was made with bottled water just for me. It was alright, I was able to finish it. Today I am craving a fillet-o-fish from McDonalds. Aw that sounds so good.

I am thanking God everyday, especially with it getting warmer everyday that I don’t have to wear that plaster cast. I am moving around great now without the crutches. We are leaving soon to go pick up Brother Gentry from the airport. I am so excited to see him! I really can’t believe that my trip is almost half over. It is going by way too fast.
