Today Thandie and Peace went to school and I was able to sleep in. I spent most of the day reading my bible and meditating on God’s word. This afternoon the bigger boys from the Children’s Home sorted the items for the last village project. I am so proud of them. They took the items and created an assembly line on all their own. They were finished quickly. The children are so willing to help and serve. Brother Gentry rested today, we hope to see him tomorrow. There was a huge fire close by today and it rained ashes most of the afternoon. It was a bummer because the children and staff had worked hard to make the campus look nice for Brother Gentry’s arrival, and now everything is covered in ashes. Praise the Lord though that the fire stopped before it got to us.
Village Project Update:
The fifth and final village project will take place on Saturday in the village of Jacket. We have three children from this village Jason, Alinafe and Ida. This was also Ivy’s village. I am looking forward to this village project and excited that Brother Gentry will be coming as well.
The Dress Project Update:
The tailor has finished sewing all the dresses! Tomorrow he is putting the buttons and then they will be ready to distribute to the girls. I am so pleased with how quickly the dresses were put together and the quality is great too. The girls are excited about getting a new dress. The boys are wondering if they are going to get something new as well. I was able to bring with me a polo shirt for each boy, so they will get those the same day the girls get their dresses.
