Last picture taken in Malawi. I already miss Peace and Savannah-Hope
Savannah-Hope gets her passport!
Peace and Savannah-Hope on our last day. We found this party dress for Savannah-Hope on the container. She only wore it for a few minutes because she is so hot natured, she was sizzling like bacon. But she sure looked cute!
I arrived back in San Diego safely on Sunday. I was greeted by family and a nice lunch and then was off to church for the evening service. I have to say that this blog was a great blessing in that most of the people I saw yesterday had been keeping up with the blog, so they already knew what my experiences were in Malawi. I was able to just quietly adjust back into my spot without a trying to explain about everything that happened in the 5 weeks I was gone. I was on the airplane for a total of 23 hours so I needed a bit of time to rest. I am so thankful that I don't have to go back to work until Wednesday.
I have already talked to Thandie twice since I have been back. She has caught my upper respiratory infection so please pray that she gets better soon. Savannah-Hope is doing well and apparently has adjusted fine to be separated from her favorite Aunt Chrissie. I wish I could say that same for me. Savannah-Hope had an appointment with the eye specialist today who said her eyes look fine. She was having a bit of eye trouble when we first got her due to malnutrition, but everything has completely resolved now. Tomorrow she has an appointment at the under-five clinic for a well child check up. She is going to the same private hospital I went to. I just couldn't take sending her back to the government hospital. As long as she goes to the private hospital on Tuesday mornings it is only 200 kwacha which is less than two dollars.
Ida is still suffering from the tonsillitis and is now also battling diarrhea. Please pray for her. She is going back to the doctors tomorrow.
The Carriers arrived safely to Malawi on Saturday. They actually came on the plane that I left on. They brought many items for Savannah-Hope. Thandie was very excited about the bottle brush. They also brought her a diaper bag that I hear is just beautiful. I believe some people from their church donated some of the items. Thank you!
Brother Gentry is feeling better as is Mrs. Miller who are both recovering from the respiratory thing that is going around Malawi right now.
I believe the four visitors from Ohio leave tomorrow.
